We can’t wait for the 2026 Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo! The 2025 Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo was nothing short of spectacular, drawing in seasoned large-scale enthusiasts as well as the novice from all over the map and from all walks of life for an unforgettable event!
For 2026, the Expo and Midwest Garden Railroad Gathering have come together to create a bigger, more dynamic experience for everyone in the large‑scale railroading community. This partnership brings the best of both worlds into one coordinated event—combining the depth and camaraderie of the Gathering with the energy and excitement of the Expo.
By joining forces, we’re able to offer:
- A full Five days of activities, giving attendees more reasons to travel and stay.
- A seamless experience where Gathering registrants automatically enjoy full access to the Expo without needing a separate ticket.
- More value for vendors, exhibitors, and attendees, thanks to increased foot traffic, broader programming, and a unified promotional effort.

The 2026 Expo will once again be at the Metroplex Expo Center!
The Metroplex Expo Center seemed to suite all of our needs for the 2025 Expo so we’re heading back there for 2026!

The Metroplex Expo Center in Girard, Ohio, is a versatile event venue known for hosting a wide range of events, including conventions, business gatherings, trade shows, concerts, and receptions.
The facilities boasts over 30,000 square feet of newly upgraded space, making it suitable for all kinds of large events.
