2027 Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo
We can’t wait for the 2027 Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo! The 2026 Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo was spectacular, drawing in seasoned large-scale enthusiasts as well as the novice from all over the map and from all walks of life for an unforgettable event!
For 2027, the Expo will be adding some extras to make it a more dynamic experience for everyone in the large‑scale railroading community.
With these additions:
Streamlined choices, to help make your decisions easier.
Expo General Admission, for those that only plan to come for 1 to 2 days.
Expo Gold Ticket Admission for a full 3-4 days of activities including a post Expo Social Evening, Expo Admission for Friday/Saturday, Friday Banquet and Sunday Layout tours giving attendees more reasons to travel and stay.
More value for vendors, exhibitors, and attendees, thanks to increased foot traffic, broader programming, and a unified promotional effort.
A stronger regional event that highlights every corner of the hobby—from hands‑on clinics and private layout tours to shopping, displays, and demonstrations.
A welcoming, community‑focused environment where newcomers, families, and longtime hobbyists can all find something to enjoy.

The 2026 Expo will once again be at the Metroplex Expo Center!
The Metroplex Expo Center suited all of our needs for the 2025 and 2026 Expos so we’re heading back there for 2027!

The Metroplex Expo Center in Girard, Ohio, is a versatile event venue known for hosting a wide range of events, including conventions, business gatherings, trade shows, concerts, and receptions.
The facilities boasts over 30,000 square feet of newly upgraded space, making it suitable for all kinds of large events.
