The Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo was born from it’s predecessor the North East Ohio Large Scale Train Show which was started in Warren Ohio with it’s main focus being on G Gauge trains (1/32 to 1:20.32) and accessories. There were a total of Four subsequent NEOLSTS (all in Warren, Oh) that took place on July 10, 2021 June 25/26, 2022, June 3, 2023 and June 1, 2024. By the the fourth year the show encompassed just about 4,500 square feet.

     The first Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo took place on May 9 & 10, 2025 with a vast expansion in scope and size from the NELSTS! Moving to the Metroplex Expo Center allowed the size of the show to expand and allow the inclusion of larger scales. Everything from G Gauge to 7.5″ gauge ride on trains and accessories!

    The 2025 Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo was nothing short of spectacular, drawing in seasoned large-scale enthusiasts as well as the novice from all over the map and from all walks of life for an unforgettable event! With a paid attendance of 794, free kids admission of 76 (12 & under), plus an additional 140 for vendors, exhibitors, and clubs that made the total attendance 1,010! We were beyond thrilled with how well the 2025 Expo went as were all of the Vendors, Exhibitors, Clubs and Attendees!

     We are looking forward to the 2026 Great Lakes Large Scale Train Expo which will be coming down the track Friday May 15 and Saturday May 16, 2026!
